Description

Acyclovir 5% 5G is an antiviral ointment for herpes-like skin infections (simplex and genitalis).

Indications/Benefits/Uses:

Treatment of herpes simplex virus infection of the skin and mucous membranes, including initial and recurrent genital herpes.

Sub Category

Topical Antiviral

Dosage

5x/day every 4 hours for 5 days. Treatment may be extended up to 10 days.

Serving

Apply a thin layer to the skin lesion.

Caution

Acyclovir cream should not be used on mucous membranes such as the mouth, eyes and vagina.
